BEN THANH MARKET
 

Built in 1912, Saigon's most famous market is open all day and sells a range of goods from local teas, coffee and food items, souvenir t-shirts, tailored clothes, handbags, watches and souvenirs. At night, stalls are set up outside where the market operates from around 7pm to midnight (subject to demand). A shoe street is located adjacent to the market.

SAIGON SQUARE
 

A popular air-conditioned market located on Le Loi Street and adjacent to Saigon Centre, this is a popular tourist retreat for shoppers. Most items are clothing, bags.

SHOPPING MALLS
 

Multi-story shopping malls are available with local and international branded stores. Malls have food courts and restaurants. The larger malls include Vincom mall and Saigon Centre which includes Takishimaya. Luxury brands are available at Union Square and nearby.

SHOPPING STREETS
 

Dong Khoi Street and Lei Loi Street are popular for high end brands and souvenirs. Ho Chi Minh city also has streets for specific products like cameras and antiques.

MARKETS
 

Beyond the city's most famous central market, there are others that also attract shoppers. These include the Bình Tây market in Chinatown's District 6 which dates back to the 1880's and the Hồ Thị Kỷ flower market in District 10.

SAIGON CENTRAL POST OFFICE
Built between 1886 and 1891, the fully operational post office is one of the city's most admired and photographed landmarks. Designed by Frenchman Alfred Foulhoux, he is the name behind some of the city's famous buildings.
